About Melinda
“Do something every day that edifies you.”
Melinda Morgan is a wife, mother, grandmother, speaker, educator, author, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is also the host of “Let’s Get Edified” a podcast for busy women who are looking for ways to draw closer to the Spirit and deepen their connection to Christ. She does this through sharing uplifting messages, spiritual insights, and stories of hope and encouragement to help us light the world around us and within us.
As a member of the LDS faith, Melinda has served in a variety of positions, including Stake Relief Society presidency, Gospel Doctrine instructor, Relief Society President, Choir Director, Organist, Relief Society instructor, and ministering sister. She has a BA in Liberal Studies, is a licensed educator, and holds a Master’s degree in education and administration. As a published author, Melinda has written two novels and resources for engaging students in the process of active learning.
When Melinda suddenly found herself a single mom with four very young children, she was unemployed, had only a handful of college credits, and had no means of supporting her family. Hers is an inspiring story of rising from the ashes of broken dreams and broken faith. She and her husband, Ron, have been together for over 20 years, and in 2019, they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Cedar City Temple. Together, they have a blended family of nine children and 19 beautiful grandchildren.
